How to stop strobing (bug?) when facing sun

(Possibly bug: UE-43545)
Very simple scene with a floor, a direct light source and atmospheric fog. When I select my directional light and toggle on “atmosphere sun light,” this causes a strobe like effect whenever the sun is visible in my viewport. The view rapidly goes between normal and black, making it very difficult to work with and possibly seizure inducing.

I am new so if there is a known way to fix this please let me know! I am following the recommended starter video “Your First Hour with Unreal Engine” step by step and I have encountered this bug (this strobing does not occur in the video). Can be reproduced by following from about the 5 min mark in the “building your first level” lesson.
