How to stop navmesh from automatically rebuilding

Currently I can’t use the landscape sculpting tools because every single brush stroke triggers a full navmesh rebuid. I’ve looked around and a lot of solutions point to a setting called “automatically rebuild navmesh”, but it doesn’t seem to exist anymore. I’ve looked in the NavMeshBoundsVolume settings, the RecastNavMesh, the project settings, the editor settings and the world settings but I can’t find anything. How do I fix this?

You’re close! Really, very close!
The setting you’re looking for is in Editor Preferences. Open that and in the search bar type “Update Nav” and it should return this- the setting you’re looking for is “Update Navigation Automatically”.

Just make sure to turn this back on when you’re done editing your landscape! :slight_smile:
