In short: I want to know how to apply impact/damage to a chaos object using either picked up meshes or guns.
I’m currently sitting on a 25.1 beta build of UE and keep failing to load in the example map that was built half a year ago, so I can’t get access (too stupid) to the example blueprints for for various uses with Force and Cluster Strain Fields.
A basic physics mesh can be thrown or dropped on a chaos destructible object, but as soon as you apply something like an anchor that stops working.
And simple Add Impulse does nothing, or I may be doing it wrong.
So can I use line-trace to find a spot where I want to spawn a force field to basically do damage to the field, or am I over complicating this and a simple apply damage function will do the trick. Again I would look at the examples in the Demo map, but I can’t get it to build.
