How to Snap socket of one mesh, to socket of another mesh?

How can I set the transform (location and rotation, don’t care about scale) of one mesh socket to another mesh’s socket.

So I have 2 meshes, each of them have sockets, but the sockets are not at the centre or at pivot point. I want to set the transform of one mesh to the transform of the other, but taking into account these sockets, as if I was actually moving one socket to the other.

I put a socket on the blue cube

and a socket on the sphere

I can join cubeA ( socket ) to the sphere ( socket ), like this ( we have to rotate to get one socket facing the other )
