Here is my question. How do you snap modular pieces created in 3d studio max in UE4? I used meters as units in max and snapped the end vertices of modular pieces to the grid. Now, when I try to use snap grid inside UE4 (tried all the grid sizes from 1,5 and 10 and still they don’t snap perfectly. Is there anything I am doing wrong in max?
After dropping a mesh in the viewport, you can click CTRL-END to make sure it’s snapped.
If you don’t have snapping on ( or on the wrong value ), things will not located correctly when you drag them in.
EDIT: If anything, make your mesh very slightly smaller than 1m, because UE will move then mesh in 1m increments, regardless of their size ( depending on your snap settings ).
