I’m trying to figure it out but I can’t quite get it. I know you’re supposed to enable the plugins first and then you get access to creating Cloth Assets, but after it’s created and you go into the editor, how the heck to you use this thing? lol
yeah, there’s no documentation yet
same, don’t know how to open cloth editor panel
The Plugin is not enabled by default since it’s experimental. Search for “cloth asset” plugin.
Yeah you have to enable the plugins first, type in Cloth and you should see it in the plugins list. After that, you could create a new “Cloth Asset” located in the Physics category, but there’s really no telling on how to use it. That’s what I’m kinda struggling with here, cause you could transfer weight paints and then simulate cloth physics somehow for runtime use, but just not sure how to do it.
I hope someone figures it out soon or epic does some sort of tutorial or releases a quick-start guide on how to do it
Looking at the UI it seems to be similar to the Flesh system for setup with the Dataflow asset controlling the what the cloth does and the Cloth asset for the the mesh you using. This is all off of appearance though all to be taken with salt. Planning on doing some testing today too see if i can find some similarities between the two systems.

When you package the game with the new chaos cloth, the clothes just disappear in the main game.
