I’ve tried a few ways to do it as suggested by youtube tutorials, but they all seem to be outdated. I tried this video - Setup Live Link Between Maya and Unreal Engine 5 Tutorial - YouTube - which suggests getting the Maya LiveLink from the Epic Marketplace, but that only supports up until Maya 2020. The guy said it should work on 2022 but on my end it doesn’t (I tried on 2018 and it works but I need for Maya 2022). I’ve also tried going on Autodesk’s official website to get the Maya LiveLink plugin but it can only connect to UE 5.1 version, and it doesn’t even say how to load the UI (no instructions on this).
Am I overlooking something or is it simply a matter of this plugin being outdated?

That video is an excellent resource for setting up LiveLink. I would recommend taking a look at this documentation on that as well. If you’re still having issues with the 2022 Maya, I’d also consider taking a look on AutoDesks support site, too.(That’s only a personal opinion. I can’t directly vouch for the sites accuracy as it’s not owned by Epic) I know there’s some documentation on there for this specific task.
I too have experienced issues with Maya 2022’s “updated” plugin which says it supports UE5.2. I have attempted to activate it, but the link never connects. The LIveLink plugin is on in UE5.2, and the Maya 2022 plugin is installed, but it refuses to connect. Any updates?
