How to set capsule to track character

I have a character, and he has a wake-up animation.

See video:

While getting up animation phase, the capsule is completely out of my animation and I can shoot outside the enemy’s body

How can I fix it? Or is there any workaround for this situations?

Root motion is enabled!

Thank you.

You can adjust the capsule height accordingly using the “Set Capsule Half Height” node for that specific duration. You can either use the variables that enable the condition for that animation to play and use a delay node after they turn true, or if that’s a montage you can use notifiers to detect when to adjust the capsule height

Sounds good! Thank you!

One more question how to set default size after “Set Capsule Half Height” call?

You can adjust it to whatever you set it for your own default one using the same node. The engine does provide you a set capsule height once you add that component but there’s no node to change it back to that value as you might expect, since everyone can have their own idle capsule heights that fits their custom models. You can see your capsule component’s height by entering to your character blueprint, opening the viewport tab and clicking on that capsule component. You will see it’s value on it’s details window

For hit detection use the mesh, ignore the capsule.
