How to scale down a metahuman and use ALSv4 or GASP systems with the character?

Currently I tried to scale down the character in Blender and Maya, but I’m struggling to get it to work on ALSv4 or GASP systems. I’m trying to make it work with them to use their mantling system and turning in place for 1st person camera and their rich animations.

I’m encountering a lot of issues:

  • Animations play way faster than usual.
  • IK seems to be messed up even when I make a new IK retargeted for the new skeleton.
  • Camera clips into the object that will be mantled.

I’m thinking about scaling up everything else instead (I did not do any level designing yet).
Is this a good approach?
What should I do?
