[UE 5.3] How to render only the particles using sublevels and Sequencer. I have loaded Meerkat Demo with Lumen activated by default in order to save time. I need to render a “pass” of the particles only, visible on a black background, occluded by the other objects in the scene as shown in the screenshot. The screenshot is from a tut I follow and the instructor just turns off the visibility track of the sublevel, containing the lights and it is done. If I do that, the scene with the particles turns full black.I tried to figure out different solutions on my own before posting here, but I just lost almost 10 hours without luck. To make the tests faster, I use the Niagara fluid smoke template.
In theory I think this would be possible if I keep the particles + landscape in the same sublevel, and leave the lights on a separate one. Then make the particles somehow maybe a bit self-illuminated, so they are visible in the render and the other objects from the landscape will still occlude them. However, I don’t really know if this is the right way approach, before throwing another maybe 10 hours for a test
