How do I delete unwanted points/data from the background of an object i’m trying to capture? I’ve been looking for some sort of point lasso tool but can’t find one. I placed a cube around the object I’m wanting to keep but found no way to cull the data to the inside of that cube. Is there a method or do I export what I have and use a 3rd part app to remove the excess parts?
You can see in the below image I turned off all but one of the model parts but the remaining part has some excess data I’d like to cut out if possible.
Figured it out, re-ran calculate model AFTER defining the reconstruction region.
This software is amazing BTW, I’ve tried a few and this blows them all out of the water, defiantly purchasing a license as soon as I get time to play with something it outputs!
you should be able to delete these points from the model by using the Filtering Tool. You can then mark the points outside the bounding box and apply the filter to delete them.
