How to remove Blender "useless" bones with "bone" parenting?

I tried messing around with weight painting, don’t remember it working so good though. My best solution was to just ignore them I guess, they are annoying in skeleton view, but they don’t really do anything besides just “being there”.

I tested this option “Remove Selected From LOD 0 And Below” and it seems to make the bone locked to any direct transform inputs. I’m not sure if it will affect the mesh LOD system, but maybe it can help.
