ive been wrapping my head around how to go about doing this i know how to add a skeletal mesh to a master pose component but how do you go about replacing it? like i need to remove it and add it back to the inventory that part i can figure out but its removing it from the master pose while i add another one on that i cant seem to figure out. or do i just use the remove instance node to do this and specify its slot number or something?

To clear master pose component setup from skeletal mesh part just call it like this:
Simple just leave Master Bone Component empty!
