I wish this had an affect on my project. Packaging my very simple app for Mac results in a 1GB app. Checking the “Create compressed cooked packages” didn’t change anything for me. 4.9.2 on OS X 10.10.5

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have compared the sizes of the packages created on Windows and Mac, with and without this option selected. I noticed a large difference between the files and have entered UE-22192. Please check back with us in a few weeks if you’d like to receive an update on this bug.

Sadly it’s still unresolved at this time. I do see that there has been some activity on it though. Hopefully it’ll be resolved in the near future. Please keep checking back in.

So, was UE-22192 fixed in 4.11?
UE-22192 has been closed as cannot reproduce. On Windows, the .exe is just the executable. On Mac, the .app has the executable and data in it. Make sure you’re looking at the game directory next to the .exe to check Windows compression.
