Hi there, I want to upload my scene to the cloud, I get a warning that it will require 23GB of memory, the limit is 13.6GB. I've tried deleting painted vegetation, deleting furnishing, etc, and it won't reduce at all the amount of memory.
The demo lakehouse retreat scene seems to be way more complex than what I have, and it uploads with no issues.
Is there a way to have a breakdown report in TM to see what's sucking all the memory?
TM 2022.1.2, model export from ArchiCAD. I did a test uploading the model to the cloud as it comes from ArchiCAD, works fine.
Hello ,
Thank you for posting in the community regarding the RAM usage of your scene that you are wanting to upload to the cloud. Some scene that are large won't be able to upload as they are, but you can consider making a Panorama Set instead as there is no RAM limit for those presentation.
Here are some steps you can take to help for the current Cloud Presentation:
- You may need to create a separate Twinmotion file so you can manipulate certain elements differently than your primary scene.
- When sending a presentation to the cloud, every element in the scene graph even off will be taken into consideration thus it is important to completely delete unnecessary elements.
- Check the statistics and how many polygons and textures you have in your file. Remove any unused Materials and use instances for objects that are supposed to be the same.
- Reducing the size of the largest textures, for custom material.
- Using the most simplified trees models as different tree models in Twinmotion have different size in MB.
- Using datasmith plugin as it skips the back faces of the models, thus the number of polygons will be smaller.
- Also consider using the Collapse All method for imported elements.
- Remove unnecessary QuixelMegan scans 3D assets.
- Remove unnecessary humans/characters.
- Before uploading to the cloud you will need to save the Twinmotion file in order to update the statistics, then close and reopen to clear any temporary data.
At this time there is no way to get a break down report of the RAM, but you can make this request on the road-map:
