How to recompile Speedtree Importer Plugin? Help a Dummy out

Hiya!

I was just wondering if anyone could help a dummy like me with recompiling the SpeedTree Importer plugin. By default it import ao baked in the RGB vertex color channels. I want to make it so that it imports the vertex colors that I´ve setup in SpeedTree.

There have been some talk about this on the speedtree forum, so it seems to be doable as the speedtree file format does contain that information, unreal just doesn´t import it.

I think I have changed the code that´s necessary I just have no clue on how to recompile the plugin so the changes I made will actually be in effect.

I really appreciate any help I can get with this, as being able to do vertex colors like this is my sole reason for using speedtree atm.

If you follow the instructions on building the engine, the SpeedTree plugin will build with it. On the following page, scroll down to the “Downloading the Source Code” section and do those steps.
