How to reassign animation assets to another skeleton?

I have a character that is all set. Then I import another character using the same skeleton but I adjust the bones for the shape. So I guess I have to import the skeleton mesh with skeleton again. And I copy the previous animation assets into another folder for this new character. So how to re-assign the duplicated animations assets to the new skeleton for retargeting?

P.S If there are greater procedure of doing this please tell me?
