How to re-parent a component to a different socket?

HI I’m having trouble moving a static mesh component from being parent to one socket to another. I tried this but it doesn’t seem to change anything:


well you got it mostly. Probably going to need a flip/flop if you’re switching between holding and not holding. I’m pretty sure something like this would work. put your weapon in the target pin. may have to mess with the scale rule drop down as I’m not 100% on that. snap to target is what you’ll want for location & rotation though.
