How to properly rig and skin character in Maya for Unreal Engine? (issues with ragdoll physics?)

Hi, I’m trying to use ragdoll physics for a hair mesh, and when I import into the Unreal Engine it can’t seem to make the skeleton into capsules for the physics. But the skeletal mesh does work in Maya, but not unreal?

Do you know the correct set up/settings I should have for the skeleton and bind of skin in Maya? Does the mirroring of the skeleton cause any issues?

I’m trying to create something similar to this tutorial, but with two braids instead of one ponytail.
