How to Properly Reopen Chaos Cloth Assets after Closing Engine (USD files)

Good day, I am having trouble with Chaos Cloth Assets when using USD files after closing out the engine and reopening it.

I exported a Shirt USD file from Marvelous Designer, I then went into UE5.5 to create a Chaos Cloth Asset. This prepopulated a bunch of nodes. I click on the “importUSD” node which is the first node. I then select the “…” button to find my file directly in my desktop folder and import the USD (this then creates a folder with the static mesh and textures pulled from the file. I then set the transfer skin weights node, then weight map node next to it, add my physics asset to the proper node, and then on the side preview scene tab and I select my skeletal mesh to preview everything running together. The shirt is visible with the skeletal mesh I set in the preview scene tab. Great, so I save everything.

My issue is, if I then close the engine, then reopen it, go into the Cloth Asset I had just created a moment ago, I can not see the shirt in the preview menu. When I click on the USDImport node, it does show that the directory of my file which is located on my desktop folder is correct from when I initially imported it, and it has a “Imported Render Static Mesh” option selecting a Static Mesh of the shirt. However, when I go into the WeightMap node to paint, there is nothing that is paintable, the fabric to be able to paint appears to be gone. I can click Reimport on the USDImport node, and while the skin weights I created on the panels now show up and are still there, I then lose any edits I made to the connected material/material instance, since it now redownloads all the assets.
