How to program a dialogue system like Undertales? (UE5)

hey there ue5 forum! game dev student here, does anyone know how to program a dialogue system somewhat similar to Undertale’s? (Printing text, dialogue noises, contextual interchangeable character portraits for different expressions, that sort of thing?)

honestly i can go with or without printing text and dialogue noises, but the interchangeable expression portraits are a must have for what i’m trying to make!

whenever i search online for dialogue system tutorials, search brings back guides on choice branches? just to clarify, not what i’m looking to make!

any help is really appreciated :]
