Hello everyone, It’s my first question, I don’t know if I’m in the right spot but I need so much help, I’ve done and looked for everything I could think of before writting here. I have a project based on the “Thid Person Shooter Kit” and inside there is an issue when character jump and aim/shoot while in the air. The left hand seems going away depending of rotation and weapon recoil when shooting. See the video It’ll be more explicit. How can I fix that, I am completely lost inside all those ABP related to mannequin… Please guys, let me know
Cant really help you on someone else’s system if you don’t know the basics.
Its an IK issue, probably. Bad values being fed in or similar.
You should really just socket the hand to the rifle same as the back hand is socketed to the grip.
This normally works if IK is free to adjust the pose, and doesn’t work when the thing is just a straight up animation.
There is a lot more to consider too.
It’s not like you socket it and it is magically OK. No… then the aim is way off, so if something is going from the gun to the target following the gun’s forward vector, its going to be off.
Your IK has to adjust/move to aim properly, because an aim offset is never going to aim accurately (it can, but you have to create animations with the gun in question and changing gun would bug it out)…
You would have a much better time creating a system you can be comfortable with from scratch.
Ther’s probably a ton of tutorials to follow on the mundane subject now a days…
Thanks for your feedback mate. A new version was released and there is no issue so I guess It is indeed the IK the issue. thank youuuu And honnestly regarding to IK and shoot in the air there is nothing useful for my case online, at least I don’t find it yet
