How to post UE4 game online?

I work with scan-based virtual environments useful to industrial applications. Industry benefits from virtualized industrial settings and providing remote access to remote locations, especially in today’s pandemic, so I’m curious how best to provide that combo in a way that mirrors what online gaming offers 24/7. Can somebody advise me how this works, who is paid to offer what?

More specifically, if I package in UE4 a game and multi-version to accommodate a variety of platforms, e.g. mobile, PC, various flavors of VR, is there a platform that can detect a user’s device and steer them to the appropriate build?

Would the content be downloaded by the user, the only data being uploaded to a server be the user’s input, e.g. navigation and settings, and after the initial download of the game (model, gameplay), would the only additional data coming down be the input data from fellow “(serious) gamers” who are navigating the model together in real time, contributing comments and questions, etc.?

How is this business model monetized by the host server and does Epic Games provide such a service via Fortnite or such? How might the developer then also get their take providing content to smaller pools of industrial “gamers”?

Thanks for advising, much appreciated (and needed today).
