How to play an animation montage without easing in/out transitions?

I’m trying to just play a shooting montage when the character fires his weapon, but the animation sequence is so fast that it doesn’t really play, it seems to me that it tries to smooth in and out the montage before you can actually see anything, even with time dilation.

so what’s the proper way to do this?

You can go into the animation that the montage utilizes and adjust its blend in/out values. The montage isn’t an animation in itself. It’s a set of instructions on how an animation should be used.
