How to play a cinematic sequence without possesing the cinematic camera

I’d like to play a cinematic sequence where I move a cinematic camera around (like a level flythrough). I’d like to keep this animation playing over and over but I don’t want the camera to ‘look’ through the camera automatically, I can’ seem to find any way to prevent this though.
For various reasons I’d like to manually lerp a master camera between it’s current transform and the transform of the cinematic camera, so I can easily switch between them without starting and stopping the sequence.
Is this possible?
