You just saved me 100 hours of work, I love you.
Where is this? I canât find it in Project Settings anywhere
You should check your softwareâs settings for an âAuto-recoveryâ or âOpen from Autosaveâ option. This might allow you to recover the most recent version automatically.
Iâm right-clicking on the Content folder. There is no option called âFix Redirector Referencesâ. There is an option called âUpdate Redirector Referencesâ, but itâs not doing anything at all when I select it.
Yeah⌠I donât know what is going on over here on my end, but Iâve tried literally every single method everyone has recommended here and nothing is working. After following all the steps, I open my project and thereâs still nothing in the content browser. All of my assets are still gone. Just empty folders. And when I try to manually open my map via âFile>Open Mapâ, my map is nowhere to be seen anywhere.
I donât know. I give up, I guess. Whatever.
Omg can i pleaseeee have ur help. My thing deleted and all i tried to do was copy it over. I have all my files including my autosaves but idk what a usasset file is.
You donât open these you replace the .uasset in your content browser with the older one in your autosave. Itâs just a saved copy of an older version of that same .uasset file. For exmaple, lets say your newmap is corruptwd. take whatever newmap .umap you want from the autosave folder, find the file location it would be in in your content folder, rename it to the same thing , drop it in, and delete the original .umap file. Granted, youâll have absolutely no idea how hold that .uasset file is and how much youâll be losing. Thatâs generally what source control is for.
