How to offset a material shader and add it back to its self?

Material creation question.

Is there a way to take the output of a shader network offset it in x, and add it back to itself ?

Please see my mock up, it should help explain what I am looking for.

I am hoping to hear back from someone soon. It sure would help a lot to know if this can be done.
