Hi Guys. I was having Unreal Engine 4.11 Installed with Epic Launcher on my computer, that was before I had to Clean Install my Windows System for some reasons, I’ve managed to make a recovery for the Engine Folder (which is named 4.11) that was located in my Program Files Folder, so that later on I could manually re-install Unreal Engine without the need to re-download all the data again from Epic Launcher.
so here are my questions:
Do I have to download it from Epic Launcher in order to do re-installation for the Engine?.. is there anyway that I could manually copy Unreal Folder contents I recovered into the current Epic Launcher Folder and get it launched?
I would really be thankful if there’s any possible way to do this, because I don’t want to re-download a 5 GB content files, that I already have, every time I want to re-install Unreal Engine. knowing that I have a very slow internet speed that would take up to 11 Hours just for downloading Unreal Engine from the Launcher.
I’m not sure I get this right… would you please clarify more?
because the only thing I see in the library section is add versions button, and it doesn’t asking me to specify location, it only download and install in: Program Files> Epic Games> 4.11 (or whatever version I choose)
my problem is that when I copy my old recovered folder to this location, the epic launcher won’t read it as installed, since the only way I could run Unreal Engine 4.11 is from the launcher.
