How to make water caustics with path tracing in MRQ?

I tried to use the water plugin with path tracer but it doesn’t seem to work. So I made an animated water material in a pool and I can see moving reflections appearing on nearby walls (above water level) but I don’t see caustics on the pool floor.

Hey, i am having the same issu… do u managed to fix it ?

They arent capable, and realistically unless they scalp developers off of Nvidia they will never be (proven by 10+ years of failed development and the engine being in the state its in).

Get the caustics branch of the Nvidia release.
