How to make vehicle to start slowing down after player exiting from it?

As title says. Currently when i exit car while it is still moving it keep driving on this exact speed without stopping. How to fix this ?

I think the controller simply stays in the car and continues to press the gas.
In the worst case, you can add a variable that indicates when the player is not in the car, and then automatically activate the brakes or release the gas pedal.
