Wanted to ask, how to detect object, give it variable and use that variable later to be detected with player in collision zone by other blueprint nodes (and node in secound collision should check if player have value or true assigned to it, to start it’s own behavior)?
All this for opening door by the key find on ground. I would like some documentation links to learn it my self or example project if possible.
You guys could start being mathafackers and help him instead. Like, he needs to have a boolean variable called “Has key?” that is set true when the character overlaps key collision. Then the door gets to open by a button press with a branch check included when the player is overlapping door collision.
But oh, you guys are not mathafackers are you now. That’s how it is… I see…
Yeah, well if he’s gonna bypass the censor filter to insult the community at large, then I think he can look through the docs. I’m not personally offended, but hey. I don’t care if I’m never considered a ‘cool guy’ by him- instead of bumping his thread more regularly, he waits 6 months and then is mad that 6 months ago nobody saw his post and thought they could help. It’s not like his post has been on the frontpage for 6 months. His post was gone from page 1 of the help section within days of him posting.
Anyway, @GratisMan Achilleon is right. If you do that, your key will open the door.
Now that you mention it that way, I think I made a huge mistake. He will create a horror game with basic quickscares and no enemies with lots of keys to pick and doors to open. This is the trend these days. I think I damned us all.
