In my environment art project I am trying to create ropes with Tibetan prayer flags attached and have them sway in the wind.
I have seen the swaying chain in the ParticleEffects example but I am not sure if using the “world position offset” would produce an adequate effect for both the rope and the flags. I also have beginner knowledge in using Apex cloth from Nvidia to simulate flags in wind, but in my experience the ropes would stay still.
So I am wondering what the best solution would be. It would be best if I can make some sort of spline system and have flags appear on it intermittently so I can iterate in engine quickly. But I primarily want to make the swaying of both components convincing.
