How to make LOD change smooth? Blending?


Known problem, I found post from 2014 about LOD blending on roadmap, now is 2018. I missed something?
Is strange and scary when LOD changing instantly like now, any solution?

Hello, same question. I found options for material LOD dithering, but while it seems to help … somewhat, if I move towards the objects reeeeeeally slow, it’s still terrible. I hope this problem has a solution, for example, the LOD crossfade system in Unity works pretty good out of the box.

But seeing how relatively big game names like PUBG suffer from terrible looking and distracting LOD popping, I’m not too hopeful to find a satisfactory solution that is easy to set up in UE4.
