It’s unclear how your hierarchy looks like but, as default, the camera is attached to the capsule, not to the skeletal mesh. When you simulate physics, the skeletal mesh becomes detached (sort of) from the actor but the camera is still attached to the capsule - where the actor is.
You could try this when you start to simulate:

See how it goes, I’m expecting some weirdness from the get go but it might just work…
Also, the engine comes with a native damage system:

This way you do not need to cast and are a bit closer to that A+ you’re after ![]()

Thanks for the help again, only got cross product for wall climbing to go and then it should be smoother sailling for the next while
