How to make a wall block fire but not players?

When playing Blox Wars a few weeks ago (the map by AnzaFN in creative hub right now) I remember that there was no way (or at least we thought there was no way) to shoot through the doors or windows on the house in the middle. But you could still walk right in.

This was before UEFN officially released, so I suspect there might be a way to do this in Creative 1.0.

Does anyone know if this mechanic is still possible or has it been disabled?

Hey!
You can do that by using the “Objective Device Gallery”. Try playing around with the settings a bit and place it in a spot where you don’t want players to be able to shoot through, but can walk through!

Hi Treqy!
Thank you for your tips, I will definitely try this later tonight.
Its such a good mechanic and helps a lot with gameplay fluidity.
Anza’s tiny safe zone in the middle of a FFA was actually genius.
(he makes the best creative hubs as well, imo)

The way I do this is by changing the “Collision Presets” at the bottom right of the static mesh options to “FortTriggerOnlyWeapons”. You can then use this static mesh and turn it into a prop so you can use your phone and other Fortnite devices (like prop manipulator) on it. Hope this helps

That’s also a great solution for this question!

Does anyone know know how to block vehicles (and players in vehicles) but not players?

edit: I think I found the solution, “Vehicle” in collision presets for mesh in UEFN. i will try converting my island to UEFN tomorrow and experiment with the presets. thank you dragon for your tips.
