Hi there, new to Twinmotion and wondering how I could use a car paint material to make it start as one color in the front of the vehicle, and gradient to another color at the back of the vehicle. Will I need to make it in another software like photoshop and import it? If so how can I make it look metallic like the built in car paints.
It seems that the car paint can’t support bitmap or gradient.
So, no, it will not function with this particular shader.
However, you could achieve a similar effect using a standard opaque material and incorporating a bitmap gradient. By adjusting the roughness and metalness properties of the material, you can create a shiny appearance.
While this approach may not replicate the precise definition and light behavior of car paint, it could serve as a viable alternative.
Do you mind giving me a few pointers as to how to go about that? I’m basically self training here and with a quick search I can’t find much on how to incorporate a bitmap gradient.
