How to make a material highlighting all the edges of a figure?

Hi, I’ve been looking for an answer to this question for quite too long now, with no effect. What I want to achieve is simple black or whatever colour highlight on the edges. I don’t know much about creating materials here. Also it has to be in the material, not in the post-processing. Thank you in advance.

Search YT for:

  • outline material - new way to make outline (can be drawn outside of mesh silhouette (like outline should)
  • cell shader - older way to make edge lines (and apply cartoon like colors/shading for surfaces).

Plenty of tutorials for both types of edges.
And you can always mix both shaders

I don’t want to use shaders. I want to make these outlines in a material i could use on, for example, a cube and it would highlight all its edges. Do you know any tutorials on that maybe?

You cannot have material that is not shader.
