How to import Squash and Stretch animations to UE4

Hi there! I’ve done some animations with squash and stretch deformations applyed on them, but when it’s time to import it to ue4 the animation does not preserve the squash and stretch (i’m using 3ds Max). I’ve tried with different techniques such as, stretch modifier or stretchy bones, but none of them worked for me… If anybody have experience on doing this type of animations I would really appreaciate if you could share your experience.

Thank you!

Create a skeletal rig using 3ds Max’s standard bone tool for the thing you want to animate, then create the animations like you normally would. Make sure to bake the animation when exporting and import the FBX with animation selected in the UE4.
