How to import external orientation of airbone aquired photos

?

We have ready orientation files for photos. How can we import this (xyz, omega, phi, kappa) into the program?

Thanks!
Best regards.

Hi Agnieszka Mleczko

sorry for late reply…

For the xyz or GPS coordinates they are imported if are in the EXIF info or can use FLIGHT LOG import,

For now we not support importing of omega-phi-kappa ( camera orientation ) intro RC.

Any update on this? Still no plans to support importing of camera orientation? I have a number of datasets which have aligned perfectly in PhotoScan, but which don’t align correctly in RC. I’d like to import the orientation and then do the “Dense Cloud Generation” / “Calculate Model” phase in RC to get all the fine geometric details.

Hi Tom Baets

under WORKFLOW ribbon is a FLIGHT LOG import tool. take a look…

Hi Wishgranter,

Thanks but even with (local) estimated PhotoScan coordinates imported into RC, the images won’t align in RC… For that reason I suppose camera orientation support (omega phi kappa) could be helpful.

Tom

Hi Tom Baets

the Omega, Phi, cappa is not used ( in agi is not used too in alignment )

can send me the data for inspection if its not just some settings that need to be changed…

Hi Wishgranter,

I’m getting an error when trying to load the flight log file. My images don’t have the GPS on the exif so I’ve tried to load a flight log from a .csv (Comma separated), txt (tab separated) and a prn (space separated). The files have the following order: Image, Long, Lat, Alt.

I’m uploading the files.

Best regards,

Hi Santiago Trujillo

can send me the flight log so can take a look if its OK
