Hi,
I have a problem for converting animations from DAZ AniMate to Unreal Engine 4.9 for my Genesis characters. I tried several ways for that (with 3dsmax and MotionBuilder with HeroTPP file) but finally it doesn’t work. Can somebody help me, please ?
It should export fbx files. Unreal will break it into mesh, skeletal mesh and animation sequences which you will then need to setup a blend space and state machine to get it going in unreal.
Thanks but it is what I did. I loaded the Genesis character in Daz. Then I baked the animation and I exported it in fbx format. Then I loaded with 3ds max and with MotionBuilder. Here I opened the fbx file with the animation and I defined the Genesis skeleton and locked it. At this time the character and the animation work. So I saved the file and exported it to UE4 but it doesn’t work.
Did you export both the skeleton and model in the same fbx file?
Yes of course. Here is my file after export from 3ds max.
Ok. I’ll look at it.
Ok maybe something wrong with 4.9. What i did first was load it into 4.10.2 because thats the latest version. It crashed, three times so I then tried 4.8 and your model imported perfectly with no hassel and the kick animation plays in persona. So my suggestion is to load it into 4.8 and work from there. If you are dead set in working with 4.9 try to upgrade project to see if everything still works. Good luck!
Thanks, but some movements of legs and arms doesn’t work as he should. I don’t know why.
I found a tuto which looks work. I was wrong in the process. https://www.youtube./watch?v=oON_FkGq8eQ Thanks for all EyeDee10Tee.
