I am trying to import an animated sleigh and reindeer into a project using Autodesk 2009. However, when I export as an FBX and try to import into UE4 it fails due to multiple root errors.
a couple of key questions …is the file you are importing in FBX format? … is it Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, or another application?
I am using Autodesk 3DS Max 2009 and I am initially importing the file as a .max
yes, first export your mesh from 3ds Max in FBX format… then you can import it into UE4
