I currently have a post process outline material going. It’s just black, and colour can be changed to whatever I want through the material instance params. But I would like the option to have it detect the colour of the closest pixels on the character so that the outline is essentially the same colour as the texture it is bordering, so I can add a multiplier parameter to make it slightly darker then the character.
If anyone can help me with a method to detect the colour like I explained above I would appreciate it. I’m somewhat new to unreal, so it would be great if you could go into detail when explaining or post picture examples.
