How to I get my charcter to turn on the spot not a massive arc. pivot point appears static ie character moves pivot point stays put causing arc turnign issue

I think this is some sort of pivot point issues but a coupel of my characters Im trying to cinematic are not yaw rotating on the spot but in some massive arc.

How do I get control so I can turn their paths easily ie want one to walk over to a table then walk around but wha I turn its like their arc will be 50m radious or more which is useless

Hey there @Sonic_Poloboy! Assuming you’re using Navmesh and the basic character, you should be able to orient their rotation to their movement and set the rotation rate to something sensible, which should stop your instant snapping turns:

As new I was only downloading character from the fab menue and some from mixamo then trying to add location and rotationaal m,ovement and any inbuilt animations the downlaoded charact had or if I can add from mixamo so have not tried proper manual rigging yet. I will check you video after breakfast but see the cartoon boy’s pivot point somehow has got anchoured to the spot by the eubber ring and boat sofa on the right.

I tried moving it with middle mouse and alt to the boy but it snapps back as soon as I do anythgin not stick with the boy. And thst appears to be the cause of the arc.

As said I have yet to do anything liek your rigging and would probably find it helps as tryign to stich trogether all those miximo animatiosn to do things liek dance sequences is awful as its alsoway s poitnign the charcter in the wrogn direction when I try and match the bones makign this take forecr to do as opposed to havign motion captured the whole thing or do my own aniamtion movements.

The film is supposed to have a dancer who starts in the house then into the beach bar. the boy woudl be one iof the extras Im trying to add for background, but this has taken months as so painstakign and clearly not the best way to do things

ITs a first project a cinematic not a game. Also is there a way to get my boats to respond to waves in a cinemantic sequence as phsycis dont appear to woirk. ?
