How to get lumen working on static meshes generated with the modeling mode?

I’m creating a static mesh with modeling mode, but it wont appear for lumen:

When checking the mesh Generate Mesh Distance Field is enabled.

I was also generating some meshes with CubeGrid, and then kind of random, they start to appear for lumen.

Would really appreciate some help regarding this!
