How to fix this flickering Road


Hey to everyone,

maybe someone of you can explain me, how to get rid of this lines. When my character is moving, these lines get more and stronger.

If your sidewalk is made by two polygons intersecting at the same height then you will get what can be called “z fighting” when two polygons compete for the same space in the z axis coordinates.
You can try either

  • making the sidewalk out of continuous polygons adding in the lines through material or displacement.
  • slightly raising of lowering every second sidewalk element
  • removing the overlap of polygons so that they don’t occupy the same space
