when I hit the download button to download the model in glb this message happer: Use in Bridge for UE5
The UAsset version of this MetaHuman is not compatible with UE4. You can download it in Bridge for UE5.
Hey there @ManStar15! Welcome to the community! Are you using the editor built in version of bridge and is it updated?
I use the app bridge and yes its in the updated version
Are you attempting to use the newer metahumans in UE4 or is this error appearing in UE5 directly? If you’re still using 4.27 (or earlier with MH) you’ll have to do a bit of a trick to retrieve the older metahuman variants.
If this is in 5.03 or 5.1, then something is a bit more odd than expected.
I use the program bridge not in unreal but I have unreal 5.03 downloaded
Same issue here. Like OP said, we aren’t in unreal at all, let alone UE4. We are in the standalone Quixel Application. I don’t even have a version of UE4 installed. When I select my Merahuman which was made for version 5.3 of u real, which is the exact version I have I stalled, and I click download from within the “My Metahumans UE5” section of Quixel Bridge, which is, again, a standalone application, I get the same error, stating "Use in Bridge for UE5. The UAsset version of this Merahuman is not compatible with UE4. You can download it in Bridge for UE5.
I don’t understand what this means “Bridge for UE5” as far as I can tell from the quixel download page, there is only one version of Bridge available for download.
I had to do a little digging on this, but the Quixel Bridge for UE5 is built into UE5 and it doesn’t work through the stand alone desktop Quixel Bridge.
Go to the Cube with green plus sign button in the top tool bar and select Quixel Bridge from inside your project in UE5. You will likely need to sign into your Epic Games account when doing this.
