Hello! I’ve had this problem where while my sword swings etc work, my jumping animation, landing animation etc doesn’t. I tried a lot of different things but couldn’t get it to work, any help is appreciated!

Hey @UkkosDuck!
So I don’t necessarily see what’s going on but it looks like only your top half is animating for the jump. Maybe your layered blend per bone is split top/bottom somewhere?
Also, if you start the game and use Shift+F1 to be able to move the mouse out of the game, you can open your animation blueprint window and select that character and actually watch it work in real-time. That’s REALLY useful for troubleshooting animations!
Hope that helps!
Yeah you’re correct, the “Layered blend per bone” has “Spine_01” with the blend of 5, I had to do that in order to fix my sword attacks. I tested it by removing the Layered Blend completely and it actually did work (Though then I got a bug of my feet sliding)
Any idea on how I could fix the feet sliding (During melee attacks and such)?

Hey great! Let’s keep that momentum!
Your Jump loop on the AnimBlueprint is using MainStates instead of being part of Locomotion. You need your jump loop to be coming from locomotion!
That way it’s passing to whole body anims. Right now you’ve got it only giving top half because it’s coming from MainStates, and the Layered Blend Per Bone node is separating that so that MainStates is controlling the top half only.
Hey @UkkosDuck ! Did you get it all figured out? Let us know how it’s going! Don’t lose that momentum! ![]()
Yes my bad- I thought I marked it as “Solution” but I guess I forgot! Thank you for the help ![]()
