How to fix collision on referenced content?

I’m using some reference content from fab, assets from the scrapyard pack and more.

The assets are read only so you can’t change anything and the collision is set to “Project Default”.

If I resize them my character is floating above it if trying to stand on the asset. To fix this normally you would change the collision to “Use Complex Collision As Simple” but since it’s read only you can’t.

Is there a way to make my project default the complex collision in some setting?

I would have to double check, but I think you can add the mesh to a blueprint class. Then change the collision settings, by adding a new collision, of the root and have it affect all the children. This would include the mesh.
