How to find out primary and secondary axis for Basic IK?

Hello. I’m trying to set up basic IK for my character and I can’t find out which numbers should I use for primary and secondary axis in Basic IK.


I suppose it should look like that:

but it still looks awful:

Could be the problem in additional bones between Bone A and Bone B in Basic IK?

Or I just don’t understand how to set these axis correctly?

Hard to tell from your picture but looks like negitive y. If your confused set secondary to all zeros then try each primary till it works ;). But it should be the vector pointing down the bone (toward the effector)
