A few years ago, I made what now is my best performing map- but I accidentally built almost the entirety of it using props because I had forgotten to untoggle ‘Building As Prop’ setting and just kept on building away. Ended up having to place hover platforms throughout so players could place builds. Fast forward, I have been trying to use uefn to fix this problem and cant figure it out so I came here to ask. So far i tried selecting the hover platform, then using the selection tab to select all the hover platforms, then checking the boxes for ‘being a part of the grid’, and then the ‘forcibly structally supported’ and I unchecked the box for ‘is visable in game’. This ended up indeed hiding the hover platforms but unfortunately it brought back how in game players were unable to place builds. Thanks in advance for the help im desperate!
You’re not able to build on props. Honestly, if it is your best performing map, I would recommend taking the time and rebuilding the parts of the map where you want players to be able to build. It may seem tedious, but you will be able to save some memory without having to use the hover platform’s workaround.
While I appreciate the suggestion, I find it hard to believe that this is not possible considering all the available parameters in UEFN. You are 100% correct if we are talking the creative toolset but in regards to UEFN, there’s got to be a way to either:
Change the properties of the props so that players can place builds on them,
or
hide the hover platforms from being visible but their function stays intact.
The verbage in UEFN is not very intuitive as far as the creative toolset’s is; and the lack of descriptions for the different parameters is very unfortunate to noobs like myself. I wish there was descriptors that pop up when hovering checkboxes rather then just the true/false (which is useless really) I’m going to keep experimenting and I’ll update if i find the solution. If anybody that has knowledge on this reads this please do let me know!
I’d like to know how to do this as well. Do you have the map code to share?
One thing I wonder is that the building system always builds on grid in game. How do you align it nicely with the props?

3939-4356-9286 is the map I would like to fix. I still have not figured this out, but I’d like to point out that there is in fact descriptions for parameters if you hover the parameter itself; before I had been hovering the check box and thought that the ‘False’ was the only description.
